images images

In this guide, I’ll walk you through the process of installing, setting up, and using the PVR IPTV Simple Client on Kodi. This method is compatible with a wide range of Kodi-supported devices, including Fire TV Cube, FireStick 4K, FireStick Lite, FireStick 2nd Generation, New FireStick 4K, New FireStick 4K Max, Android Smart TVs and TV Boxes, Android smartphones and tablets, iOS devices (iPhone, iPad), Mac, Linux, Raspberry Pi, and more.

PVR Simple Client is an addon for Kodi that allows you to stream live TV channels. It does not provide any content on its own but instead works with your existing IPTV subscriptions. To stream channels on Kodi, you need to integrate this addon with your current IPTV service.

You must have one of the following two from your IPTV subscription provider:

– M3U Playlist URL
– XMLTV EPG URL

If your IPTV service provider does not provide either of these URLs, you won’t be able to stream live TV channels using the PVR IPTV Simple Client on Kodi. These URLs should have been sent to your registered email address along with your app login details. If you haven’t received them or are uncertain, reach out to your IPTV provider for assistance.

One of the main advantages of the PVR Simple Client Kodi addon is its ability to allow you to stream channels across multiple devices. Typically, IPTV service providers only offer apps for Android platforms. Let’s dive into the process.

Here are the steps to install the PVR IPTV Simple Client addon on the Kodi app:

  1. Launch the Kodi application and select the Settings option from the home screen.

You can find it as the gear icon in the top-left corner.

  1. On the next window, click Add-ons.
  1. Now, open the option Install from repository.
  1. In the next window, you will see the list of repositories. Click the Kodi Add-on repository (it appears only if you have installed at least one, third-party repository). If you don’t see the Kodi Add-on repository, skip to the next step (step 5).
  1. Scroll down and choose PVR Clients on the next screen.
  1. On the following window, scroll down and click PVR IPTV Simple Client. If you can’t find PVR IPTV Simple Client, look for IPTV Simple Client.
  1. On the next screen, click the Install button located at the bottom right.

8.Wait for the PVR IPTV Simple client to finish installing. You’ll see the installation notification appear in the top-right corner of the screen. This process typically takes under a minute.

You have successfully installed PVR Simple Client.

There’s a reliable way to keep your streaming activities private from your ISP and the government. All you need is a solid VPN for Kodi. A VPN will hide your original IP address, which is 41.141.225.187, and help you avoid online surveillance, ISP throttling, and content geo-restrictions.

I personally use and recommend ExpressVPN, known for being the fastest and most secure option. It works well with all types of streaming apps and devices.

NOTE: We do not promote violating copyright laws. However, what if you accidentally stream content from an illegitimate source? It can be tricky to distinguish between legitimate and illegal sources.

So, before you dive into streaming on Kodi, here’s how to set up VPN protection in three easy steps.

Step 1: Get your ExpressVPN subscription HERE. It includes a 30-day money-back guarantee, so you can try it out for free for the first 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with the service (which is quite unlikely), you can request a full refund.

Step 2: Click HERE to download and install the ExpressVPN app on your streaming device. If you’re using a FireStick, I’ve provided the exact steps starting with Step 4 below.

Step 3: Click the Power icon to connect to a VPN server. That’s it! Your connection is now secure with the best and fastest VPN for Kodi.

Step 4: Subscribe to ExpressVPN HERE (if you haven’t subscribed yet).

Step 5: Navigate to the Fire TV Stick home screen. Click on Find, then select the Search option (see image below).

Step 6: Type ExpressVPN in the search bar and select it when it appears.

Step 7: Click Download.

Step 8: Launch the ExpressVPN app and log in with the email address and password you set up when purchasing your ExpressVPN subscription.

Step 9: To connect to a VPN server, simply click the Power icon. That’s it! Your FireStick is now protected with the fastest VPN available.

Next, we will set up the PVR IPTV Simple Client on Kodi to use it with an IPTV service. Here are some key points to keep in mind before you begin:

  • PVR IPTV Simple Client does NOT provide any content. You need to have an active IPTV subscription for it to function.
  • It is compatible only with IPTV subscriptions that support M3U Playlist or XMLTV EPG.
  • You must obtain the M3U Playlist or XMLTV EPG URLs from your IPTV provider associated with your subscription.
  • Typically, these URLs are sent to you via email after you successfully purchase the subscription.
  • If you haven’t received the URLs, please reach out to your IPTV service provider.

In the following steps, you will learn how to stream your favorite content using this addon:

  1. Go back to the Kodi Settings and click on Add-ons.
  1. Open the option My add-ons on the next screen.
  1. Open PVR Clients on the following window.

4. You should now see the PVR IPTV Simple Client that you just installed. Go ahead and click on it!

  1. Now, click the Configure button at the bottom.

6. In this step, we will add the M3U Playlist URL. Ensure that the General tab in the left menu is selected. On the right side, click on the M3U Play List URL option. Then, enter the Playlist URL for your IPTV subscription.

7. If you have an EPG URL, go to the EPG Settings option in the left menu. Then, on the right side, select the XMLTV URL option and input the EPG URL provided by your IPTV service provider. Click OK on the right to continue.

  1. Choose OK when this Needs to restart prompt is displayed.
  1. Go back to Kodi’s home screen and click the Power button in the top-left corner.

10. Click Exit on this popup menu to close Kodi.

  1. Reopen the Kodi application. The ‘PVR manager is starting up’ notification will appear in the top-right corner.

12. A notification will pop up when the update is finished, showing how many channels have been loaded. On Kodi’s home screen, move your cursor over the TV options on the left menu without clicking.

The Recently Played Channels will be displayed on the screen.

13. To start streaming, click on Channels at the top right to see the list of available channels. If you imported XMLTV EPG earlier, you can also select the Guide option to view the TV Guide and stream channels directly from there.

14. In the EPG window, tap the menu icon (which looks like four horizontal lines) located in the bottom-left corner to access the menu.

15. Here are the menu options you can use:

  • Viewtype: Switch between horizontal and vertical display
  • Group: Select the category for grouping channels in the EPG
  • Sort by: Pick from Number, Name, or Last played
  • Order: Choose either Ascending or Descending

Here are some key features of this addon:

  • It can be found in the Kodi Add-on Repository, which is the official repository for Kodi, so there’s no need for sideloading.
  • Installation is straightforward, and using it is even simpler.
  • It supports M3U Playlists and XMLTV EPG, which are compatible with most IPTV service providers.
  • This addon allows you to access your IPTV subscription on a variety of devices, thanks to Kodi’s extensive multi-platform compatibility, especially since many IPTV apps are limited to Android devices.

In Conclusion

This is how you can install and use PVR IPTV Simple Client on Kodi. If you don’t own an Android device and can’t install the APK, this addon is an excellent option for streaming Live TV channels from your IPTV provider. With playlist and EPG support, you can easily access your favorite TV channels.
